Pitless Sump Pump Specs

Due to the overwhelming calls from Hurricane Irene for pitless sump pumps, we have decided to start a new discussion on the differences and benefits of the two different types of Tsurumi pitless sump pumps. Quick note, even though both are pitless sump pumps they are both submersible pumps, Tsurumi only make submersible pumps. Here are your options: Tsurumi_Pitless_Sump_Pump
    1. LSC1.4S: (Specs: 1/2 horsepower, 1/115 volts, 3/4" discharge) This sump pump comes with a 3/4" garden hose for easy pump out situations. The LSC will pump approximately 15 Gallons Per Minute (GPM) and down to 3/64". It also has a built in check valve. It is only available as a manual pump. As with most of the Tsurumi sump pumps, it's 3/4" discharge can be redirected to a 45 degree angle to avoid kinking on the discharge hose. This is achieved by opening the two stainless steel nuts on the discharge and turning the discharge fitting. It weighs only 28 lbs, and is easily moved from room to room if needed. It does have to be primed before each use.

  1. LSR2.4S: (Specs: 2/3 horsepower, 1/115 volts, 2" discharge) This sump pump comes with a standard 2" discharge hose (a 2" collapsible discharge hose can be found here) for easy pump out situations. The model will pump approximately 50 Gallons Per Minute (GPM) and down to 1/4". It also has a 2" discharge that can be redirected to a 45 degree angle and is only 2lbs, and is easily moved from room to room if needed. It is a manual pump but is also available as an automatic version.
